Update – Cboe Options to List SPY, QQQ Tuesday and Thursday Expiring Weekly Options

Applicable Cboe Exchanges: BZX Options, Cboe Options, C2 Options, EDGX Options
All Cboe-affiliated US Cboe Options Exchanges (C1, C2, BZX, and EDGX Options Exchanges) plan to file to trade Tuesday and Thursday Weekly Options in SPY, QQQ, and IWM. The Cboe Exchanges anticipate listing SPY and QQQ Tuesday-Expiring Weeklys beginning November 14, 2022, and SPY and QQQ Thursday-Expiring Weeklys beginning November 16, 2022, subject to regulatory review.
Going forward, all Monday through Thursday Weekly Options will maintain only two expirations.
The below SPY and QQQ Tuesday-Expiring Weeklys are planned to be listed effective Monday, November 14, 2022.

The below SPY and QQQ Thursday-Expiring Weeklys are planned to be listed effective Wednesday, November 16, 2022.

Thursday, November 17, 2022
Thursday, December 1, 2022

Currently, the SPY, QQQ and IWM Monday and Wednesday expirations have five expirations listed. As a result of moving to only maintain two expirations, beginning November 10, 2022, Cboe will no longer list new SPY, QQQ, and IWM Monday and Wednesday Weekly Options until the listing is within 15 days of the new expiration date.
